Acceptance conditions

What do we consider a complete vehicle?

At handover we assess completeness. That determines whether a €50 fee applies or handover is free.

Complete vehicle — no fee

We treat the vehicle as complete if all essential assemblies are physically present in a condition consistent with age and wear. We do not judge roadworthiness — the car may be non-running. We check physical presence of parts.

Must be present:

  • Body including doors, bonnet and boot / tailgate
  • Engine and gearbox (may be defective)
  • Undercarriage, axles, wheels (tyres may be missing)
  • Fuel tank
  • Interior — seats, dashboard (may be worn)
  • Glass — windscreen and others (cracks OK; glass must be present)
  • Catalytic converter and exhaust system

Incomplete vehicle — €50 fee

The fee applies if major assemblies listed above are missing. Typical cases:

  • Missing catalytic converter — common after theft
  • Missing engine or gearbox — e.g. removed before handover
  • Stripped body — missing doors, wings, bonnet
  • Missing seats or dashboard

Why the fee?

Incomplete vehicles yield less material value in recycling. The €50 offsets that gap.

If you know the car is incomplete

Tell us when booking so there are no surprises. Payment can be made on site.

Summary

Complete = essential parts physically present (running condition irrelevant). Incomplete = €50 fee. When in doubt, call us beforehand.
